Instagram page:
I choose this genre because there is a strong pre-teen presence on social media, especially Instagram. I chose to do the advertisements as personalized popular memes. I made this choice because pre-teens seem to love funny memes, and if I can use a funny meme to advertise my business, it will be noticed by pre-teens.
Advertisement in ForbesWomen:
I chose this genre because many middle-aged professional women read and subscribe to ForbesWomen, and see the advertisements in it. My composition will be effective in this magazine because the colors are shocking and are noticed quickly. I also appealed to women’s need to fit in and look good by saying that they’d be “sad and look frumpy” if they bought their clothes brand new. I also said “Don’t be dressed like this poorly dressed woman” referring to the woman that bought her clothes new.
Radio Commercial:
I chose this genre because pretty much everyone listens to the radio while they drive, and parents of teens and pre-teens do a lot of driving, between driving kids to work, driving to sports practices, or and social events that they’re kids go to. I appealed to a parents’ sense of emotions and being good parents by saying “if you truly love your kids, take a stop by High End Rental on Jenkins Street in Tallahassee, Florida.” I will take extra measures to reach the intended audiences by putting the ad in a teenage radio station because the parents will be listening too.
